The strikes by 43,000 construction workers across Ontario is an indication that there is a growing restlessness among this section of the organized labour movement. The Communist Party stands in full solidarity with all workers currently on strike to maintain wages and living standards.
Put peoples’ health before profit!
The Communist Party of Canada (Ontario) condemns the Ontario government’s latest decisions to significantly restrict access to COVID-19 testing, contact tracing and reporting, and to halve isolation requirements. Delegates to the 31st Ontario Convention of the Communist Party of Canada united in their condemnation of the ongoing US campaign to destabilize Cuba. They unanimously agreed to demand an end to the US blockade which is strangling the country and creating undue hardship.
