Put people and the planet before profit, to end the climate catastrophe!

The Communist Party of Canada (Ontario) calls for immediate, emergency action to address the ongoing wildfire crisis which is gripping the province. The rapidly expanding wildfires are destroying communities in Northern Ontario and displacing Indigenous nations and many working-class people there. The fires are blanketing the rest of the province in a thick coating of smoke, leading to disastrous health outcomes for working people hundreds of kilometres away from the fires themselves.

encourages all labour and progressive organizations to mobilize for them. The Communist Party calls for a comprehensive green economic plan, based around public ownership.
